Mary Lou A. Igou

Age 80, of Bear, DE, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Christiana Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Robert and Amanda (Duffy) Bailey.  She was a graduate of the Wilmington Medical School of Nursing.  She worked for Christiana Care Health Systems for over 40 years, retiring as a nurse anesthetist.  She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Ronald Lee Igou, in 2000 and by her daughter, Debra Mitchell.

Mary Lou will be dearly missed by her daughters, Anne Igou and Barbara Igou; her son, James Igou; and her beloved grandchildren, Chloe Lee, Jaime Lynn Igou and Keith Henry and his wife, Lauren.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Deepest sympathy to family during this trying time, Mary Lou was a friend, execellent professional nurse anesthetist and valuble member of any group. She was responsible for providing a high skill level as an instructor and developed an excellent crop of young CRNAs. God bless.
