Jeffrey Scott Biddle, 58 of Lewes/Bear Delaware passed away on January 19th 2019 at Temple Hospital in Pennsylvania. Jeff was born on September 15,1960 in Darby, Pennsylvania to his loving parents Fawn and Charles Biddle. The birth and death of this great man, however, is not nearly as relevant as all the days that he lived to the fullest between these two dates. Jeff was a graduate of Concord High School in 1978 and went on to Restaurant Hotel Management at Brandywine College and then Carpentry and Construction at Delaware Technical. Jeff had a long and prosperous career in both Culinary and General Contracting where he was a perfectionist at his work, priding himself on having his name on a job done right. He wanted to show his family and others that a good work ethic and hard work was a valuable skill. Jeff also liked to show off his cooking skills, from ordinary meals to the most fantastic holiday meals, always inviting people to "taste this" as he was working on his culinary creations. Jeff loved life, his family, his grandchildren, his dogs, music, fishing, the beach, the Philadelphia Eagles, cooking and riding his Harley.
Although Jeff was taken from us too soon he enjoyed his life to the fullest, sharing many joyous moments with loved ones. Jeff was an extremely strong man, emotionally and physically, who fought a very hard battle. May peace be with you Jeff as you reunite with those who have gone on before us. We know that you are dancing in the sky.
Jeff was predeceased by his son Jason. He will lovingly be remembered by his devoted wife Janet, his sons, Shawn (Anne) and Ryan, his grandchildren, Aurora, Shawny and Arianna who affectionately referred to him as Pop Pop. He is survived by his siblings, Charles (Linda), Cheryl and Stacey. Jeff will also be missed by his nieces and nephews; Andrea Collins, Debra Taylor, Richard Slifer, William Slifer, Christopher Divincenzo, Jennifer Bostian, Leanne Mengesha, Michael Marinelli, Stephanie Marinelli, Lindsay Marinelli, Christopher Wildberger, Christina Melhorn, Danielle Brower and Jacquelin Wolf.
He lived a full and happy life and we are honored to celebrate the dash between the day he entered this world and the day he left it. We also celebrate him as a hero by doing one of the most selfless and unforgettable acts of kindness by giving the gift of life to two individuals in need through organ donation. We believe that his greatest wish would be that you take the time to spend with those you love, create memories and to cherish the life that you have.
His wonderful spirit, hardworking nature and many talents will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16th at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington with a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. and a memorial service beginning at 10:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, Illinois 60611.
