Jessica P. August, age 26, of Wilmington, DE passed away on June 29, 2019.
Age 87 passed away peacefully in the care of the Little Sisters of the Poor surrounded by her four children on Saturday, July 13, 2019. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Ann was born in County Galway, Ireland to the late John and Kate Deely.
Barbara E. Malinowski, age 81, of Cape May Courthouse, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Lawrence G. Beggs, age 58, of Newark, DE passed away at his residence on July 4, 2019. Born in Wilmington, Larry grew up in Richardson Park and was the son of the late Dorothy Amelia (Smentkowski) and George Beggs. He was a member of the Painters Local 100 Union and recently worked at J&R Painting. He was a big fan of Atlantic City, often spending time there on the weekends.
Jacqueline F. Brooks “Jackie”, 70, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Manor Care Nursing Home.
Jane Elizabeth Taylor, 93, died in Charlottesville, VA, Monday, July 1, 2019. Born October 27, 1925, in St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Esther Marichia Dolan and Reese Aloysius Taylor, she was predeceased by her older brother, Reece Aloysius Taylor, Jr. in 2015, and her older sister, Mary S. (May) Taylor in 1924. Jane is survived by two nieces and two nephews, Christine E.
Julia S. Jamison, 81 of Wilmington passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Parkview Nursing Home.
Age 83, of Newark, DE, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Born in Mount Carmel, PA, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Thomas N. and Theresa (Olearnick) Thompson. She loved cooking and especially loved her family. Although it’s been almost two decades since her retirement, Jeanne was as a manager at the Christiana Hilton for over 15 years. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her brother, Tommy Thompson and her sister, Dorothy Thompson.
Cecilia was born in New Castle, DE, the daughter of the late Cecilia (Gallagher) and Francis McCaffery. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and attended Goldey Beacom College. Cecilia retired in 1997 from the family business, Hoopes Fire Equipment, and was a former parishioner of Christ Our King Church. She is a member of St.
Virginia M. Lane, age 98, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Age 90, of Newark, DE, formerly of Wilmington, passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, June 30, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter F. Abath in 2008 and by her daughter, Mary Abath Sosnowski in January 2019.

Toxie E. Hall, II, 70 of Wilmington passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at his home. Toxie was born in Prentiss, MI, the son of Corine and Toxie Hall, Sr. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Viet Nam and retired after 30 years with the Ironworkers, Local 580 in New York. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Geneva Tucker.

John J. Socko, 85 of Wilmington passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Elsmere surrounded by his family, friends and the staff of the VA.
William Samuel Vickery, known by his friends and family as “Colonel”, age 54, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on June 13, 2019. Born in Chester, PA, Bill was the son of the late Sylvia (Hand) and William Vickery. Bill graduated from Chester High School and went on to work as an Assistant Vice President of Banking at Citi Bank.
