Scott C. Loomis

Scott C. Loomis, age 60 formally of Newark, DE passed away on January 20, 2018 in Tavares, Florida. He had a long battle with Diabetes.

Born in Topeka, KS, Scott served in the U.S. Navy before becoming a 1st mate in Sport Fishing in Fort Lauderdale, FL and Ocean City, MD. He then sold cars for Martin Dealerships and furniture for American Signature Furniture in Delaware for 20 years.

He survived by his daughter, Abigail S. Loomis; former wife, Cherie A. Knies-Loomis; sister, Pamela S. Webb (Dave Byrnes); nephew, Charles Brault, III of Leesburg, FL; raised by step mother, Susan Marion of Coral Springs, Fl; and uncle, James Loomis (Jan) of Sebastopol California.

Besides family and fishing, Scott loved animals. He loved crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay. He loved his daughter very much and was proud of all her accomplishments.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Scott’s life on February 8, 2018 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Scott’s honor to Cecil County Animal Services, 3280 Augustine Herman Hwy., Chesapeake City, MD 21915

I’m so sorry for your loss. There is nothing more painful than losing a loved one. I would like to share an encouraging scripture from the Bible. Revelation 21:4 says And he will wipe out every tears from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Please read this scripture accompanied with your Bible. I hope you get the comfort and the peace that you deserve during this time of bereavement.
