Robert Bruce Tandy

 A memorial service for Robert Bruce Tandy will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Gracelawn Chapel followed by interment of ashes.

Mr. Tandy, 50, passed away May 26, 2018 in Lancaster, South Carolina.  Born in Wilmington, he attended the John G. Leach School in New Castle, and later lived in Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina. He was a member of First Church of God in Columbia.

Named after famed King of Scotland Robert the Bruce, Mr. Tandy was proud of his Scottish heritage and loved to research his ancestry. A creative, loving and caring person, he loved chatting with people.

He is survived by his parents, Henry “Harry” J. and Anna H. Tandy of Bonita Springs, Florida; his brother, Kenneth J. Tandy of Wilmington; sisters, Jocelyn T. Coverdale (Ned) of Kill Devil Hills, NC and Gail T. Chapman (Chris) of Columbia, SC; nephew and niece, Kenneth J. Tandy, Jr. and Jaclyn Tandy, both of Wilmington.   

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Church of God, 2665 Covenant Rd, Columbia, SC 29204, or the Spina Bifida Association of America (
