Margaret Mary Muldoon, 86, wife of the late Joseph Muldoon of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on May 18, 2018.
Margaret was born on February 17, 1931 in Wilmington, DE to John A. and Margaret F. Kelleher. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and the nursing program at Wilmington Nursing School. She served as a nurse at Temple University Hospital and the Veterans Hospital. She supported nursing in retirement, encouraging all to advance in the profession. Prior to obtaining her nursing degree, she worked in the accounting department at DuPont.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who lived her life in prayer, with kindness and devotion.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Muldoon in 1969, her daughter, Ellen Muldoon in 2018, and her brothers Anthony, Leonard, Joseph, James Kelleher, as well as sisters Mary Immediata and Jane Trietly. She is survived by her daughters, Margie (and Bruce) of Potomac, MD; Patsy (and Rogers) of Charlestown, MD and Regina (and Ray) of Alloway, NJ. She was so proud of her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who will all miss her beautiful blue eyes, her smile, gentleness, and strength.
The family would especially like to thank the Little Sisters for the love and care they gave Margaret.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Little Sisters of the Poor chapel, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713 on Saturday morning, June 2 at 11:00. Burial will be privately held at the Holy Cathedral Cemetery in Wilmington, DE. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.
