Josephine S. Jordan

JOSEPHINE S. JORDAN, age 92, of San Diego, CA formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017.

She was born in Wilmington, DE, a daughter of the late Marianne Stryjewski and Theoadore Szymanski.  Josephine lived 8 years with her two sons, Richard and Kit, which she loved very much.  They showed her a lot of what Southern California had to offer, including Hawaii. She also had a group of friends including her daughter, Ginger.  They went out on the town a lot, and were nicked named the “GOLDEN GIRLS”. She also enjoyed Friday night chat sessions with her grandson’s, Al and John, including Texas style barbecues, and quality time together.

Josephine’s husband, Alfred T. Jordan II, passed away in 1996.  She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine J. Bahel (Bob) of Wilmington, DE, Ginger Boone (Ted) of San Diego, CA and Joan Williams of Virginia; her sons, Alfred T. Jordan III  of Wilmington, DE  (JoAnne), and Richard A. Jordan of San Diego, CA.; her four grandchildren and her five great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at Immaculate Heart Of Mary Catholic Church,  4701 Weldin Road   Wilmington, DE.  19803 on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. where visitation will begin at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, 3301 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, DE.
