Josephine D. Mancari “Dolly"

Josephine D. Mancari “Dolly,” age 82 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on January 7, 2018.

Dolly was born in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Nardo) and Francis Mancari.  She was a homemaker who lived a life of devotion to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she treasured.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, reading and spending time with her many life long friends.

Dolly is predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Carmen Mancari, Ann Shue, Grace Constantine, Alfred Mancari, Dominick Mancari, and Vincent Mancari.

Dolly is survived by her children, Rick (Cathy) Conlin of Avondale, PA, Patty (Ron) Godwin of Hockessin, DE, and Jane (Bill) Lloyd of Earleville, MD;  her grandchildren, Rick (Stacy) Conlin, Jessica (Rich) Limardo, Adam Alexander, Jon Godwin, and Mikayla Lloyd; and her great-grandchildren, Caci, Charlotte and D.J. Conlin. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Bensinger, Jenny Padovani, Lukie Mancari, Carla Mancari, and Angie Peo in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care. They would also like to acknowledge her dear friends Arlene DiSabatino and Nancy Ripple for their ongoing support and love of Dolly.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington at 12 Noon. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Heartland Hospice, 256 Chapman Road #102 Newark, DE 19702.

My sincere condolences to the Mancari family on the loss of your dear loved one. Death can bring so much tears and pain, but your memories can bring you some  comfort. And so can the words at 2 Corinthians 1: 3,4.
