Deborah D. Vazquez

Deborah D. Vazquez, age 58, passed away at her home on November 22, 2019. Born in Parsons, WV, she was the daughter of the late Avanell Lenora Sturm and Donald Eugene Black. She worked as a waitress among various other jobs throughout her life. Deborah was an incredibly social and friendly person, often stopping to talk with strangers during her daily travels. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

Deborah is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Daniela and Oscar Alonso; her son, Michael Ortiz; her grandchildren, Caitlin Mayberry, Michael Ortiz Jr., Andrew Ortiz, Alana Ortiz, and Theo Alonso; and many sisters, brothers, cousins, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, with funeral services beginning at 3 P.M. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mealey Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 2866 to assist with funeral costs.
