Constance R. Conlin, “Connie”

Constance R. Conlin, “Connie”, of Avondale, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 6th, 2018 at Rockland Place.

Born in Wilmington, Connie was the daughter of the late Philomena (Lombardi) and Francisco Socorso. She was one of fourteen children and had a twin sister. She attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and St. Paul’s Commercial School. Connie retired from the Pepsi Company after 23 years. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. She was an incredibly devoted wife and took great care of her husband Richard, before his passing in 2014. In addition to her husband and her parents, Connie was predeceased by her siblings, Ann, Anthony, Dominic, Charles, Michael, Herbert, Vito, Lucy, Louis, Marie, Paul, and her twin sister, Jeanette.

Constance is survived by her son, Rick (Cathy) Conlin of Avondale, PA; her daughter, Patricia “Patty” (Ron) Godwin of Hockessin, DE; her grandchildren, Rick (Stacy) Conlin, Jessica (Rich) Limardo, and Jon Godwin; her great-grandchildren, Caci, Charlotte, and D.J. Conlin; and her brother, Edward Socorso. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday March 15th, 2018 from 10 AM to 11 AM, with services beginning at 11 AM, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Heartland Hospice, 256 Chapman Rd #102, Newark, DE 19702.
