Mary K. Kisielewski

Mary K. Kisielewski, age 63, of Wildwood Villas, NJ passed away at home on Sunday, August 13th, 2017.

Mary Katherine was born in Wilmington, DE on April 9th, 1954. She was the sixth child of the late Dorothy (Monigle) and Stanley Kisielewski. She was born into a family full of Irish and Polish heritage living at the time on South Harrison Street. Mary was a proud graduate of St. Hedwig’s Grade School and Ursuline Academy. She attended the University of Delaware where she studied English and Literature.

Mary worked as an editor and did copy work for the Wilmington News Journal. She always felt a calling to live near the shore and in the early 90’s moved to North Wildwood, NJ, a place the Kisielewski family considers a second home. She had a passion for helping others which fueled her work in the customer service industry. Her friendly demeanor, upbeat personality, and beautiful smile served her well. Mary had a way of making everyone she came in contact with feel special. She took time to notice the small things and was truly genuine.

Mary had a green thumb and was an avid gardener. She had simple taste and it didn’t take much to make her happy. She loved to read, listen to music, and dance. Each year she looked forward to football season and was a true Eagles fan. Above all, she loved spending time with her friends and family and took delight simply being in the company of her loved ones. Mary will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have been a part of her life.

Mary is survived by her son, Daniel J. Kisielewski and her granddaughter, Annaliese Kisielewski of Wildwood, NJ; her brothers, Stanley Kisielewski, Benjamin Kisielewski, and John Kisielewski (Theresa) of Wilmington, DE; her sisters, Patricia Juenger (Tom) of Malvern, PA, and Dorothy DiFebo of Wilmington, DE.; and her sister-in-law, Sylvia Kisielewski. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Her brother Frank Kisielewski predeceased her.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Sunday August 20th, 2017 from 2PM to 4PM at the Mealey Funeral Home 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 21st, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Rd, Newark, DE 19713. Online condolences may be made at

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Mary personally but I am sure she was great and she will be missed. I hope you and your family find comfoet through family, friends, and Gods Word the Bible. Romans 15:4 helps us to appreciate that the Bible was written "so thru the comfort of the scriptures we might have hope". I will keep your family in my prayers
